Oh how I spent months searching for that perfect coat to wear with jeans. I looked at countless parkas but couldn't find the one. They were all either khaki, dark green or black, the majority of them I looked at were made of thin material and weren't very waterproof. It took me awhile but I finally found the perfect one a few weeks back, never in my life have I been so satisfied with an item of clothing bought online or a coat for that matter actually. I love this parka and I've barely had it off, so I thought it was about time I shared it with you.
Meet the perfect parka.
I apologise for the photos being overly posey I was playing about with a new tripod and spot to pop my camera. Also I took the photos and then thought about this post, I guess I'm not the most organised person really! But anyway this is the parka I'm in love with.
I bought it because I needed a coat to wear with my jeans and casual wear but I wanted one that was warm and waterproof since I'd be spending half of my day standing about in the cold and rain for the bus. Just as I was about to give up my search and accept the fact that I wouldn't have a nice warm coat for my first day of uni I decided to check the new stock on aso and found this perfect parka. It comes in Navy, Black and Fig, it has a faux fur trim hood and a wonderfully padded inside. It has four rather large pockets two with studded buttons and two slightly smaller ones without. The hood is super soft and rather fluffy and makes a wonderful pillow should you feel like sleeping on the bus (Since buying this coat and putting the hood up it has become a frequent occurrence.) The coat is brilliant in the rain, I love that about it. Torrential downpour and everywhere is flooded, am I wet? No is the answer the coat is soaking but I am not. It was even a good price £42 then student discount on top what more do you want in a coat? I am absolutely in love with it and don't want to take it off once I've got it on.
The only problem I do seem to have with it is the hood, with the hood up and the coat zipped all the way up I feel like an eskimo and cannot see anything but atleast I'm dry.
If you're interested in buying the coat look here, I think it would be a good investment for these coming months, I'm so pleased I found it when I did.
