Friday and Saturday were two amazing days.Friday is where it all kicked off we started off by watching Asking Alexandria and stayed at the Main Stage for the entire day apart from when we went off to get some food of course. The bands were excellent I'd never heard Asking Alexandria before but they were pretty good and Papa Roach did not disappoint although no one knew any new stuff! Korn were pretty good too but were topped by Bullet For My Valentine who were just as amazing as I remembered them! Hearing them play Four Words to Choke Upon and Tears Don't Fall made me feel 14 again! Slipknot were the best of Friday's selection though, of course since they were headliners. I love Slipknot although I'm scared of them and they put on an amazing show, definitely worth seeing if you get the chance. Plus the way Corey Taylor says the word 'Family' its just I can't even describe. We were fucked after Slipknot though, no other way to put it, the Friday was just pretty brutal overall I've still got a black toe from it! So much fun though! We went back to the tents for a few drinks and slowly one by one we drifted back to our compartments to freeze to death, seriously Friday night was so cold I had 6 layers on, my hoodie and my sleeping bag and I was still shaking!
Saturday well, Saturday what an odd day that was. I ended up starting the day pretty miserable, I queued two hours to meet Corey Taylor for my dad and got to the barrier and they closed the signing tent! Gutted is not the word, to add to this it had torrentially rained and I was soaked through and to make it better some guy spilt beer down me so I was eventually soaked to my knickers! Luckily when I found everyone I had spare clothes in Lewis' rucksack! Thank the lord, from there the day was a success, just getting better and better. Saturday afternoon we saw Jimmy Eat World who were Am-azing! I've wanted to see them for years and I finally did and I just can't tell you how much I loved it, although if They'd played Always Be it would have been better. Enter Shikari stole the show though, I'd also wanted to see these for years and they did not disappoint! Rou Reynolds was amazing, so much energy jumping about everywhere, at one point the drummer was playing in the crowd! I just can't even describe them, I can't wait to watch the highlights from their set it was amazing! We then headed off to Maiden, I'm not really a fan of them so we left early and met the others after, we then proceeded to drink late into the night/early hours and just be generally cheeky people. Saturday night itself minus the bands was just an amazing time, I met some really nice people and got to spend some wonderful time with my friends.
