Birthday Tea.

Warning this post may make you extremely hungry and want to lick the screen! (I know I did whilst writing it up!)

So last Tuesday I turned twenty! I'm getting old guys! To celebrate me and the girls went to our new favourite place The Olde Young Tea House in Middlesbrough, you may remember me blogging about it last month if not you can read about it here. This time we'd booked in advance since we didn't want to just turn up incase the place was super busy, we'd ordered our afternoon tea in advance and requested some Caramel Shortbread cupcakes which were amazing! We turned up a little bit early but the girls were lovely and we were soon seated, after taking our times to pick teas we decided on two pots of Amaretto and Coffee, one pot of Earl Grey and a pot of Summer Fruits tea.
Soon after the tea arrived our food did, scones, sandwiches and cupcakes galore, I didn't get to photograph the sandwiches closely as they were gone within seconds, the Salami and Brie ones I am told were unreal. If you visit you need to try either a Cherry scone or a Cheese scone or both they taste amazing! I'm drooling just thinking about them! This time we'd arrived before the lunchtime rush so we could admire all the amazing cakes, pastries and scones on offer. The cakes were amazing, the cake was crumbly and light so rich and yummy. The Amaretto and Coffee tea was also amazing, I'm going to have to buy some! If you want to buy some of their tea head over to their Etsy store I know where some of my birthday money is going haha.
I really want people to come and visit me in Middlesbrough so we can go for tea or for someone to host a blog event here because just look at how cute it is! They play 40s music and everything it's so british and adorable and I just love it!

Do you like afternoon tea? Where's your favourite tea shop?
