Psyche SS14 Blogger Event

First of all I'd like to apologise for the quality of my photos! I'd forgotten to replace my batteries in my camera so it was dead so I had to use my iPhone so the quality is not the best!
So as few weeks ago I was given the chance to attend a North East Blogger event in Middlesbrough, the course was held at Psyche  and hosted by Media Works. The event was held so that the store could showcase the Spring/Summer 2014 trends that would be coming in store, along with explaining the store and trying to reach out to people since most people believe that Psyche is posh and such when in reality it's an affordable designer boutique. The event was meant to go ahead just before Christmas but there was a huge power cut in town due to a massive rain storm meaning we all huddled into a pub and didn't get to see the store sadly.
To start we all received a glass of champagne and an amazing goody bag! Once everyone had met and settled down we got a talk from Steve about the store and how it began and what the future holds, watch out Leeds theres a store coming to you soon! Steve told us that the store is laid out the way it is because men want to shop and get in and out whereas women like to wander about, so to make the store more appealing to men all of menswear is on the first two floors and womens the top which to me sounds like a brilliant marketing plan! There was also a chat about the new website which is pretty cool you should check it out!
Once Steve had finished we heard from one of stores buyers who told us about the Spring and Summer treads coming our way, some of these got me super excited check out that adorable matching top and shorts set from Ted Baker! I'm in love! There was a lot of exposed zips and mesh/see through shirts I'm loving this trend I love me some mesh! (Keep your eyes peeled for a mess outfit post coming soon.) There was a lot of bright floral prints too I doubt I'll wear much of that haha, I did love that the Parka is still huge for the summer, I love parkas! Slogan tees and denim is huge as well, this means I don't really need to buy much to be on trend this summer and that makes me happy. Haha. Lace and Navy is also a huge trend for SS14 along with tailored jackets. I thought I'd share my favourite trends that were shared with us
This is adorable! I just want it! Ted Baker you steal my heart every time!
Once we'd been shown the new season trends there was a quick talk about SS14 trends for men, I've kind of forgotten what these were but I'm not really into menswear so you know haha. We were then given a tour of the store which is just beautiful by Steve, the store has so many quirky items and ways to display items. I spent more time admiring the store displays than the clothes themselves!
I wore - Dress & Shoes Asos, Leather Jacket Drop Dead.
I finally got to meet the Lovely Danni of Gingerbread Smiles who was absolutely lovely.

The store is just amazing if you're visiting Middlesbrough you should take a visit! I know I'm going to pop in more often. I'd love to thank Psyche and Media Works once again for inviting me to the event, I had a great night it was so nice to meet everyone also.

What do you think of the SS14 trends?
