Gloworm Drinks Launch Party Newcastle.

So last Monday I was invited to Florita's in Newcastle along with several other bloggers to sample the amazingness of Gloworm! I just want to rave to you about how amazing this product is, not even kidding. Now I don't know about you but when I go out I usually opt for the classic whisky/rum/vodka and coke or a woo woo, after trying these little beauties though I know what I'll be drinking in Newcastle!

We arrived at Floritas at little early but that wasn't a problem we were given a warm welcome and ushered into the little side room where the launch was being held. We were soon introduced to the brand and given a quick talk about the products.
So what is Gloworm? Gloworm is in the simplest way a type of mixer, BUT there's a twist, it doesn't disguise the taste of the alcohol it perfectly compliments it meaning you can taste the alcohol along with the mixer instead of just tasting coke or red bull or whichever mixer you pick. The mixers come in the cutest little cans, I love how they're all colour coordinated. We were lucky enough to try all four flavours which are AMAZING no kidding they are perfect for the summery weather.
The flavours were;
Raspberry and Orris which perfectly compliments Vodka, don't ask me what Orris is though, I did google it and I'm still not 100% sure but it tastes bloody amazing! This was my favourite of the four mixers. Personally I expected it to be extremely sweet but it was perfectly sweet and fruity, I'm definitely replacing my summer Pimms with this!
Pear, Spice and Lime which was paired with Rum, now I'm normally a Rum and Coke kinda girl but I don't think I'll ever drink it with coke again! This made the Rum so refreshing with a lovely fruity refreshing taste at the same time.
Cucumber and Apple which works perfectly with Gin, to be perfectly honest I'm not a huge fan of Gin or Cucumber but I kinda liked this. It wasn't my favourite but it was super refreshing so it'll be perfect for those really warm clammy days we get.
Ginger and Lemongrass working with Bourbon (an american Whiskey) I do enjoy a good Bourbon now and again a good ole Jack Daniels or Jim Beam but as always I drink it with Coke! This mix made me think of Southern Comfort, I love SoCo. This was my second favourite, it was just lovely really nice with a great kick.

These mixers contain a small 'tasteful helping of stimulation' as it is put by the company, but that doesn't mean they're loaded with sugar because these badboys are not only sugar free but also taurine free! Taurine is an amino acid which supports neurological development, it's found in meat, fish and breast milk most usually. It is though that taurine may improve your athletic performance. They also contain 30% less caffeine than Red Bull does so you won't be up all night if you have too many.
We also got a chance to try some extremely yummy cocktails made by the Gloworm mixologist the only one I can actually remember (oops clearly had one too many) was the VodkaGlo and Lychee cocktail it was super yummy, I can't wait for a night out in town so I can get some.

I had such a good night and would love to thank the people at Gloworm for inviting me along to the event, everyone was absolutely lovely and everyone loves a free drink or two don't they haha. If you fancy trying Gloworm products they're available in most Apartment Group bars in Newcastle including, Floritas, Mamame Koo & House Of Smith so get yourself out and try them! I can't wait until they get launched nationwide because I can't stop raving about them!

What do you like to drink on a night out?
