The Quayside Seaside &Plenty of Cake

Last Friday I met Beca who has quickly become my best blogging friend I'd say, she's just so lovely you should all go check her blog out - Those Moments Of Serendipity. Anyway I made my way to Durham and hopped on the train to Newcastle and in no time we were dying from the heat and craving cake. We always meet up for a catch up because we always leave a month or two between seeing each other so theres always so much to talk about! We had what we'd call a typically bloggy day, we went down the Quayside to the Seaside and to take some outfit photos you can find Beca's here and I'll be posting mine this weekend! I can't wait to share the photos with you! We then headed off to grab some cake and The Great British Cupcakery and then had an absolutely lovely Afternoon Tea at Fenwicks Cafe 21 but I have a whole other post on that!
As you can see it was just the most picturesque day. The Quayside was just beautiful, I can't believe I've never visited the seaside there before! It was definitely what I needed a good old deckchair and to sink my feet into the sand for half an hour. To be fair being down the Quayside is just like being at the actual seaside the amount of seagulls about! After a nice sit down we took some outfit photos and then decided to to find The Great British Cupcakery after we've read so much about it from our fellow North East Bloggers. We couldn't wait to try the cake!
How beautiful is it? I need to go back now, I'm just dying for another slice of cake! Haha. I ended up leaving with a slice of Coconut Lime Cake which was just amazing, the coconut frosting was so creamy and coconutty and oh my it was perfect! I enjoyed it so much that when I took a trip to the Quayside Market with my mam on Sunday I dragged her along so we could grab some cake, this time I left with an Eton Mess cupcake and it was just amazing, the frosting and the jam and I just love cake ok?
I had such a lovely day, it was so nice just to have a wander around Newcastle and relax a bit. I miss visiting Newcastle on a regular basis, it's just one of my favourite places in the world. I can't wait to share the rest of my day with you!
Do you like Newcastle? Have you visited the Quayside Seaside?
