Scouts Honour Vintage Event!

A few weeks ago I attended one of the funnest events I've ever been to at Scout in Sunderland, as soon as I saw Kayleigh ask if any bloggers would be interested in attending a vintage event I waved my arm as high as I could, no way was I passing this up! I love vintage but I never know where to start and I hate those stores that sell 'vintage' and always ask ridiculous prices for it. I was happy to find that Scout is an extremely affordable to vintage shop which makes me super happy as I'll definitely have to take another visit in future, there were a few pieces I put back as I couldn't justify spending any more money since I'd met Beca in Newcastle and had a little shop before the event! Oops!
I'm not going to lie I am absolutely terrible at taking photos when I'm at an event as I'm usually too busy chatting away or eating all the food on offer! You can imagine how excited I was when I arrived at Scout to find so many amazing goodies waiting for us! We had Strawberries and Cream, Popcorn, cupcakes from Serendipity, wine and some iced coffees from Holmeside Coffee, we were well and truly spoilt for choice! Of course I had no trouble sampling everything, I may have had more than my share of the strawberries but no one seemed to notice haha. The store itself however had some really lovely pieces, there was this one dress black with a tutu skirt it was fabulous think Carry Bradshaw as a Goth and you've got it, so amazing. I loved the store layout as well it was just a fairly pretty place.
Not only did we get to eat loads of real good food we also got a change to get vintage hair and make up done, I wasn't sure if I was going to get mine done at first but after a bit of persuading from the other girls I was sat in the seat getting a beehive and I loved it! Thank you so much to the lovely laides at The Black Door Hairdressing I didn't want to take it out! I'm definitely going to try and master the beehive myself, I then decided to complete my look by getting my makeup done by the amazing Tamzin Cummings. I felt so pretty I got Beca to take some outfit shots for me so thank you also to Beca!
I'd like to thank Kayleigh again for inviting me and all the lovely goodies I received in my goody bag which included the cutest vintage bandanna, some makeup, a floral ring and some fun from Lush.
I had such a good night, I can't wait to visit the store again and maybe pick up a few vintage pieces for my wardrobe!

Do you like vintage clothes shopping?
