Sweet Treats Dessert Lounge Middlesbrough

Dessert bars seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment so when me and Danni decided to meet for a catch up we decided Sweet Treats was the place to visit. I've ordered from them online a couple of times through just eat and they milkshakes and sundaes have always been pretty decent however I'm a waffle type girl (which I'm sure longtime readers will remember!) so I knew I had to sit in at some point. The place is located upstairs of Piri Piri Chicken on Linthorpe Road, it's not the biggest place however so if you visit you might have to wait for a table, saying that we went early afternoon on a Sunday and got table straight away however it did fill up pretty soon after.

The menu isn't the biggest but there's still a lot to choose from including traditional desserts like cornflake tart and jam roly poly, to icecream sundaes (you can even make your own!), to cookie doughs and waffles. Oh and Milkshakes of course. I opted to go all out because I really like fatty foods after a weekend at work ok? I got a milkybar milkshake and it was so thick and creamy and ugh just literally the nicest thing ever. Nothing overly special cause yano it's just a milkshake however the Waffle was AMAZING.
I opted to make my own Waffle cause I wanted to try my own combination, I opted for white chocolate sauce, white chocolate pieces, cream and Bounty icecream and pieces. It was definitely a chocolate overload, I couldn't finish it. The waffle tasted fresh which is always great, I hate when you go places and it's so obvious they're frozen before hand here however they tasted soft on the inside and crunchy on the out so perfect! The Bounty iecream was something else, I could have just had a bowl of that I won't lie! The service was pretty decent too, we were quickly served and the staff were friendly plus for the prices I'll definitely be visiting again! If you're looking for dessert in Boro this is definitely somewhere to try!

What do you think of Dessert bars? Have you tried one?
