We opted for a basic double room since we'd only be staying the night to be close to the airport and weren't expecting too much. However the room was absolutely massive, with views of the grounds and the comfiest bed EVER. The room even had a mini fridge which we were buzzing about since we could use it to stash our Irn Bru and chocolate haha. We quickly hurried out though as we wanted to do the nature trail and wander the grounds before the sunset.
The grounds are beautiful, so much to see! The hotel have their own honey bees and the hives are so cute, they have a pond? or a lake I'm not sure which is classes as since it was massive and a bird hide so you can watch all the swans and geese. Although when we were wandering there were a few geese upon the lawns! The grounds are very big and pretty definitely worth a trip to wander around, after an hour or so we headed back to our room to warm up a little before heading for dinner, we got lost looking for the brasserie so I'd 100% recommend using the hotel maps.
The food was so yummy and reasonably priced it was well worth a visit. After dinner we were exhausted and decided to head back for an early night since our flight was super early and we had to be at the airport for 6am. Our stay at The Dalmahoy was wonderful and I'd love to go back and try their spa out. My only issue is they woke us too early with the clocks changing but I can forgive that since clocks going back confuses everyone.
I cannot wait to share my Disneyland trip and Paris trip with you all over the next few days, but first I had to share the Dalmahoy because it was such a lovely stay!
